1. Cut your 2 placemats so they are both the same size (Mine were a little wonky). Cut the bottom corners so they are rounded..

I mean it is really hot. We have been busy around here staying cool and sitting, yes sitting, in the cool air conditioning. My crafting has been slowed these past few weeks due to potty training. That can be pretty exhausting all itself, but I think we have managed to get through it and are now diaper free! Woohoo! My son is 2 years and 3 months and he loves being a big boy!

My son wanted wings. Kind of along the lines of fairy wings. He's 2, can't blame the kid for wanting fairy wings. Mommy might think that's cute, daddy not so much. Here's what I whipped up. Let's call them Buzz wings! I took a cereal box, scissors, and fabric. I used a Buzz toy to get the shape of the wings.

When I saw a plain orange shirt on clearance at Target for $2, I thought SCORE! I picked it up and my 2 year old said, "It's like daddy's." I got together with a friend and we made blocks. I have done Mod Podged letter blocks before, but this time I used small ribbon, rick rack, flowers, buttons, etc. to pretty them up a bit. Simple, free, and quick to do. My kind of project.

I didn't have much for Valentine's day, so I made these fabulous frames. I spray painted dollar store frames and used scrap fabric and felt to make both of these. I used burlap as the background for my larger frame. I can feel the love already!

I hot glued puzzle pieces together (from the local dollar store-I love cheap!), then I spray painted them and added a ribbon hanger and clumped together some holiday berry garland (purchased at Walmart in the gift wrapping section). As Christmas was quickly approaching and gifts just weren't getting finished, I stumbled upon a great idea for a children's gift over at Craftaholics Anonymous. I used felt (my Christmas addiction) and cut out each food that the Hungry Caterpillar ate. I even made a cocoon and a butterfly.
